I don’t know how this happens, but basically every brand that produces luxury goods, regardless of industry, can be the envy of Rolex enthusiasts and fans who not only see details that simply don’t exist for 99% of society, but And tolerating – to me – unacceptable company policy. They are slimmer and better looking than their predecessors. This is another change and a very positive one for me. Likewise, the width at the strap mounting point is now 21 mm, which improves the feel of a harmonious construction that the previous model did not suffer from so much.
The easy-to-use and simple three-lock lace is as always, with raised protection on both sides, and even if you look closely you’ll notice it’s more subtle. All in all, these treatments actually make the watch visually more refined and optically lighter.
There’s probably not much point in describing the dial in detail – it’s part of the iconic image of the sports watch and there’s no need to change it. This is typical and how it should be.
Rolex has always associated it with hands, just like the hands used by many other manufacturers. Although I maintain a certain distance and skepticism about those who notice these “important” details, I am very pleased with the longer minute hand arm in the new model. Of course, the choice remains, which for many is a must-have among Rolex products, namely versions with and without date display. As with previous models, the rotating bezel has a ceramic insert made of Cerachrome material and is engraved with gold or platinum filled markers.
The mechanism used is an important part of Rolex’s brand strategy. The development was also slow, not technically complex, not of great construction complexity, but as complete as possible. Robust, proven, above average durability and precision, it’s already a legend. The new replica Rolex Submariner now uses two mechanisms.
